Overview
You can transfer your car insurance to a new car in your YouSet account. Transferring your car insurance replaces the car on your policy with your new car. You keep the same policy, so you avoid cancellation fees and gaps in coverage.
This applies if you have a car insurance policy with YouSet and you sold or replaced your car. Adding a second car instead? See our Add a car to your policy article.

Frequently asked questions
Will my price change when I transfer my car insurance to a new car?
Yes, your price can go up or down. It depends on your new car, including its year, make and model, its value and safety features, how you use it, where you park it, and who drives it. You'll know the exact amount once YouSet reviews your request. If your price goes up, YouSet emails you before the change is final.
When should I transfer my car insurance to my new car?
Transfer your car insurance as soon as possible after you get your new car. It's best to avoid driving your new car until you get your confirmation email from YouSet.
