How to get a new policy
If your cancellation date has passed, or we can’t stop your cancellation, you’ll need a new policy to be insured again. To get one, follow these steps:
- Get a quote on YouSet.ca
- Answer all the questions on the screen
- Review your quote and coverage, then select Buy Now
Note: If your insurance company cancelled your policy for missed payments, getting a new policy may be harder. Insurance companies see missed payments as a higher risk, so some may not offer you a new policy.

Frequently asked questions
Will my new policy cost the same as my old one?
Not always. Your price is based on your situation when you buy the new policy, so it may be different.
Can I get my policy back if it was cancelled for missed payments?
It isn't always possible. Some insurance companies won't reinstate a policy or offer a new one after missed payments. See our Why was my insurance cancelled? article.
