Overview
Your first payment is usually taken 1 to 20 days after your policy's start date. After that, payments are taken by pre-authorized debit every month. Your payment schedule, which shows the exact date and amount of each payment, is included in your policy documents. Your policy documents can be found in your YouSet account.
This applies if you just bought a policy with YouSet.
How to find your payment schedule
- Sign in to your YouSet account
- Under your insurance policy, select Documents
- Open your payment schedule. With some insurance companies, it's part of your policy declaration.
How your yearly price is split into payments
Each insurance company sets its own payment plan, so your payments may not be 12 equal amounts.
- Fewer payments: Some insurance companies split your yearly price into 10 or 11 payments instead of 12. Each payment is a bit higher, but the yearly total stays the same.
- Payment in advance: Some insurance companies take 2 or 3 months with your first payment. Your first payment is higher, and the rest is split across the year.
Additional info
- If a payment date falls on a holiday, the payment is taken the next business day
- New documents, like an updated payment schedule, can take up to 48 hours to appear in your account
