Overview
In most cases, you can transfer your home insurance to your new address in your YouSet account, so your coverage continues without a gap. Whether you can depends on where you're moving and which insurance company is on your policy.
This applies if you have a home insurance policy with YouSet and you're moving.

Frequently asked questions
What if I'm moving outside of Ontario or Quebec?
If you're moving to a new home outside of Ontario or Quebec, you'll need to cancel your home insurance policy. YouSet is only licensed to offer insurance in Ontario and Quebec, so your policy can't move with you to another province or territory. Cancel your policy before you move, and get home insurance from a company that offers it where you're moving.
When should I transfer my home insurance?
Before your move date, so your new home is covered from the day you move in.
Will my price change when I move?
Yes, your price can go up or down. It depends on your new home, including where it is, its size and age, and its safety features. If your price goes up, YouSet emails you before the change is final.
