Overview
YouSet is a licensed insurance broker, not an insurance company. YouSet compares quotes from several Canadian insurance companies at once, so you can choose the coverage and price that fit you. Your policy is with the insurance company you choose, and YouSet helps you manage it.
This applies to anyone who wants to know who YouSet is before getting a quote or buying a policy.
What YouSet does for you
- Compares quotes from several insurance companies online in minutes
- Helps you choose your coverage before you buy
- Manages your policy, including changes, renewals and cancellations, all in your YouSet account
- Compares prices again every year to make sure you're getting the best price YouSet can find. If you could pay less, YouSet lets you know and helps you get a new quote.
- Helps you through the claims process
What your insurance company does
- Issues your policy and your documents, like your pink slip
- Handles your claims
How to find the name of your insurance company
The name of your insurance company is on your quote page, above the price. After you buy, you'll find it in your policy documents, under Documents in your YouSet account.
Additional info
- YouSet is a licensed insurance broker, regulated by the AMF (Autorité des marchés financiers) in Quebec and RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in Ontario
Frequently asked questions
Who do I call to make a claim?
If you want to file a claim, you will call your insurance company. You'll find your insurance company's claims phone number on our claims page, or in our How to submit a claim article. Remember, YouSet doesn't handle claims directly, but we can often help you through the process.
